4th of July Fireworks in LA - and Where to See Them

The city of Los Angeles is filled with amazing fireworks displays on the 4th of July. There are so many options available to LA residents seeking to take in a spectacular show. Whether you’re searching for a beach display, a fun festival, or a straight-forward pyrotechnics show, there’s something for you on this list.


Palisades Fourth of July Celebration

Pacific Palisades

The Palisades Fourth of July Celebration begins with a spectacular parade, which will feature skydivers this year. The parade is followed by live music and a fireworks display at 9 p.m. 

 

The Music Center’s Fourth of July Block Party

Downtown

Head downtown to the Grand Park and Music Center’s Fourth of July Block Party, an all-day celebration with two stage of live music, food trucks, games, and chalk art for the kids. The fireworks display will begin at 8:30 p.m. from the roof of the Music Center’s Dorothy Chandler Pavilion.

Malibu Coastline

Malibu

Each year, the residents of Malibu file permits to host fireworks displays on barges off the coast beginning at 9 p.m. This year, displays can be viewed from the 21500 Block of PCH near Duke’s Malibu, 22300 block of PCH off Carbon Beach, 27900 block of PCH near Paradise Cove, and off Malibu Colony Drive.

 

Hollywood Bowl

Hollywood

Take in an awesome fireworks display while listing to awesome live music at the Hollywood Bowl. The Go-Go’s will perform, along with LA Phil and the U.S. Air Force Band of the Golden West. The show starts at 7:30 p.m. with fireworks beginning after dark.

 

Footloose and Fireworks

Hollywood

Take in the classic Kevin Bacon film at Hollywood Forever Cemetery and an amazing fireworks display immediately after the film. The screening begins at 9 p.m. and fireworks will start as soon as the credits roll.
 
 

Rose Bowl Stadium

Pasadena

This family-friendly event at Rose Bowl Stadium will feature a Family Fun Zone and live music from American Idol winner Maddie Poppe. Fireworks begin at 9 p.m. and tickets are required for entry.
 
 

July Fourth at the Marina

Relax on the beach or in Burton Chace Park to check out a spectacular fireworks display from the Marina in Marina del Rey at 9 p.m.
 
 

Dodger Stadium

After the Dodgers take on the Pittsburgh Pirates at 5:10 p.m., Dodger Stadium will host one of the city’s biggest fireworks displays on the 4th. While there aren’t many seats left for the game, tailgating and watching from the parking lot is a wonderful alternative.
 
 

Rooftop Views

Hollywood and Beverly Hills
 
The rooftop is an amazing place to view firework displays all over the city. For a Hollywood viewing location, go to The Hollywood Roosevelt for their annual 4th of July bash. Dine on BBQ, hang out at the poolside bar, and listen to music from some awesome DJs, all while viewing some of the city’s best fireworks displays. In Beverly Hills, go to Above SIXTY Beverly Hills for 360 degree views of local shows, along with music from Grant Shapiro and drink specials at the poolside bar.
